The 9th Cohort of the Students’ Loan Scheme is now accepting applications for study loans for the academic year 2022–2023, according to an announcement made by the Executive Director of the Higher Education Students’ Financing Board (HESFB).

The application period for this year, which started on Monday, July 18, 2022, is expected to last until September 15, 2022, to correspond with the first semester of the academic year 2012–2013 for higher education institutions.

According to Mr. Michael Wanyama’s statement in the publication, this year’s application procedure will continue to operate on an affirmative action basis for persons with some disabilities, who are welcome to apply to any humanities- and science-related program of their choosing. Additionally, applicants that are female and/or from the Greater Northern Region (West Nile, Lango, Acholi and Karamoja) will receive extra credit.

13. You must click the submit button once you have completed the application.

14. Following your click on the submit button, a thorough Report containing the data you provided as the Applicant will be generated. The ILMIS system has a problem with this input. (Example: The applicant has not yet paid the registration cost by bank transfer.)

  • Valid Identification documents

17. Following completion of the report, the applicant must visit a bank (in this case, a branch of Centenary Bank), pay the pre-determined charge, and receive a payment acknowledgment from the bank.

18. The candidate will then scan, upload, and submit the payment voucher and recommendation form to the system. The last contribution is here. The application will then be sent to HESFB.
